Existence of ground state solutions for a class of nonlinear elliptic equations with fast increasing weight
This paper is devoted to get a ground state solution for a class of nonlinear elliptic equations with fast increasing weight. We apply the variational methods to prove the existence of ground state solution.
متن کاملExistence and non-existence of solutions for an elliptic system
We study the existence of positive solutions for a system of two elliptic equations of the form −∆u = a1(x)F1 (x, u, v) in Ω −∆v = a2(x)F2 (x, u, v) in Ω u = v = 0 on ∂Ω where Ω ⊂ RN (N ≥ 2) is a bounded domain in RN with a smooth boundary ∂Ω or Ω = RN (N ≥ 3). A non-existence result is obtained for radially symmetric solutions. Our proofs are based primarily on the sub and super-solution met...
متن کاملExistence and non-existence results for fully nonlinear elliptic systems
We study systems of two elliptic equations, with right-hand sides with general power-like superlinear growth, and left-hand sides which are of Isaac’s or Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman type (however our results are new even for linear lefthand sides). We show that under appropriate growth conditions such systems have positive solutions in bounded domains, and that all such solutions are bounded in the...
متن کاملExistence of ground states for approximately inner two--parameter $C_0$--groups on $C^*$--algebras
In this paper, we generalize the definitions of approximately inner $C_0$-groups and their ground states to the two- parameter case and study necessary and sufficient conditions for a state to be ground state. Also we prove that any approximately inner two- parameter $C_0$--group must have at least one ground state. Finally some applications are given.
متن کاملOn the existence and non-existence of elliptic pseudoprimes
In a series of papers, D. Gordon and C. Pomerance demonstrated that pseudoprimes on elliptic curves behave in many ways very similar to pseudoprimes related to Lucas sequences. In this paper we give an answer to a challenge that was posted by D. Gordon in 1989. The challenge was to either prove that a certain composite N ≡ 1 mod 4 did not exist, or to explicitly calculate such a number. In this...
